Dr. Lawrence breaks down how he developed the name Harvest Health MD.
Harvest
The name Harvest stems from the biblical principle of reaping and sowing. It is biblical law that you reap a Harvest according to what and how you sow your “seeds”. This is an amazing concept when applied to health, and truly anything in life. You cannot reap what you do not sow.
Thus, if you do not put in the time, attention, intention, and effort into improving your overall health, why should you expect to achieve the desired outcome? Your inputs should be fashioned after the desired output. A lot of people, especially today in today’s society, want to achieve and obtain things that they have not put in the proper time, effort, or work for.
The same goes for health. At Harvest Health MD, we have a slightly different approach to your health. We partner with you to help you achieve the health goal you desire, but you have to be an equal and active participant in that process.
Health
The word health is used to demonstrate that at Harvest Health MD, it is not just about medical care but about healthcare. There is a lot that encompasses one’s health and it is far-reaching. Physical health is only one aspect.
At Harvest Health MD, we also talk about mental health, trauma care, emotional health, spiritual health, as well as, lifestyle and behavior modifications in order to develop a care plan that will move you forward in the right direction. It is not just about taking a pill.
Medications are important and in many cases necessary to safely treat disease, however, optimal health is not just about the medicine – it’s about holistic care. We look at all of the different facets of a person’s lifestyle because all of these areas create the picture of a person’s health. Everything is intertwined, so you can’t just look at one thing and effectively treat the one without having any examination on how the other aspects of a person’s life impacts their health.
MD
MD stands for Medical Doctor. It signifies the person overseeing your care has been trained at the highest level to independently practice, manage, and assume reasonable responsibility for your health.
